I have some good news to share to you. You can find me scrapbooking again.

Yes...I found a new home. I now work at The Scrapbook Store. I will be working and teaching classes there. They are very nice and welcomed me with open arms.

Sylvia has bought lots of new product and guess what????!!!!! I was able to put my input on the Tim Holtz product. It has already shipped. We've been working like mad women.

Hi all my scrapbook friends...

It's your blog queen, Jennie, if you forgot my name. I know its been a few weeks now but... I have been laying in bed and not wanting to get up. I had two wonderful friends pick me up take me out and snap me out of it. Wow we were overwhelmed with the response we received yesterday and today. It did not hit me until yesterday and looked at the line of people I have come to know and love. We have sold much more than expected in the last 2 days. There is still more to buy but we do have stuff ready to be sold.

After six great years, we are closing Scrapbook 911. We have been trying to obtain a new lease for our space for the last several months (Yes and I painted the store) but now we know that will not occur.

Starting tomorrow Monday Feb 28,th 2011, everything is 40% off through March 6.

Starting March 7th 2011, everything is 50% off through March 13th

Starting March 14th 2011 everything will be 75% off

Starting March 21st 2011 everything will be 90 % off

ALL STORE CREDIT MUST BE USED BY MARCH 13TH 2011.

No additional points will accumulate given the discounted price.

Our final crop will be held March 12, where we have moved up our Saint Patricks Day crop that was scheduled for the 19th

We had quite a big turn out this morning at Tami's Money Saving Sketches. I know that some of you, won't name any names LOL, had quite a time with this sketch she had for you. She called it her Frankenstein layout due to it being cut from her paste there, cut from there and paste here. Anyways I was surfing the web and found this on someones blog and thought I should put this up on our blog.

Our cardstock should be arriving anytime soon. It got stuck in the (insert laugh) snow in Texas somewhere. It will make it here hopefully today. We are going to start having lots of CHA boxes arriving soon also. Get ready. I've been painting the walls before all our boxes arrive to make it more like home. As my kids say,"Mom is this your scrapbook room?" It's because I used the same colors in my scrapbook room. Anita wanted to know if I was going to paint for every holiday since I painted it pink isn't it for Valentines Day. Uh, no. Just once Anita. Isn't she silly. I still have a bit more to paint but all is well.

second, on Saturday January 1st, we will accept gift cards from Best Buy, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Target, and Starbucks. Bring in any of these cards, we'll check the balance and its just like cash. We also accept any gift card with a Visa, MasterCard, or American Express logo on it!!

Third, on Saturday, January 1st, we are having an ALL DAY No Frills Crop between 10 am and midnight! Just $5

January is also the month that Tami's classes start up again, including: Money $aving Sketches, Photofull, and Mom and Me.

Carrie and Jennie are also busy with Totally, Tim, Tim Holtz Configuration Box, and House of Love, Carrie is also teaching a Charm Bracelet while Jennie will host the Year in the Life Calendar class. Don't forget that Gaelynn has two beginning scrapbooking classes each month. Have a friend come so that they can enjoy on of your favorite hobbies.

Tami's Calendar Kits

Tami has just put out a LIMITED number of her annual calendar kits. This year's calendar is a wall design with a LARGE calendar and pleanty of space to jot notes on each day, as well as a section for notes at the bottom of each calendar page. There is also a LARGE pocket for each month, so you can keep receipts, coupons, appointment cards, etc for each month handy. Each page of the calendar is decorated in a different holiday theme for each month. Also included is a mat so you can add a photo. This year's kit is also designed to be quick and easy to do, in fact, it would be a great project for you to do with your kids. So if you need a 2011 calendar, or have someone hard to shop for on your holiday list, pop over and grap one before they are GONE!

We will be opening up our 2011 special events calendar at noon Saturday Nov 6th, Special event dates will be available on the web at that time too. Signups for the events will be available on the 1st day of the month that is three months before the event. So if you want to come to the April retreat, sign ups will become available on January 1st. Hi all, it's your blog queen again. Page Maps 2 just came out. We sold out in record time and have more ordered. I soooo love this book. We use to do a Monday sketch challenge and your blog queen slacked off (slacker). I am here to pick it up again. I will pick (or you can challenge me) a sketch out of the book and I will make a layout with it (and post it to the blog) and if you want to participate great. Send me a picture and I will put it on the blog for all to see. Everyones layout will look very different because of the papers we pick out. We had so much fun last time we did this so let's have fun again. I will try to use more photos than just one. We all take lots of photos. Soooo who is up for the challenge?!?!?!

We have sooo much more coming in. This weekend is our all day crop day (Shirly Young Crop) along with our Fall Sale- all day Saturday Sept 4th Everything (almost everything excluding classes, kits, gift cards) is 30% off.

On Sept 18th we are having a $5 no frills crop from 10 am til midnight.

On Sept 25th Saturday we are having our Fall transplant (garage) sale. The tables are all sold so come in and get some great bargains. We accept cash, check and credit cards. You don't have to negotiate with the seller the prices are already marked. Fill your basket and only pay once.

We are hosting our silent auction again with all the proceeds going to the Guide Dogs of Texas. I will be posting pictures on the blog and posting updates on the bidding. The bidding will end on Sept 25th at 8 pm.

I was able to take a class with the awesome Donna Downey. There was one spot left for her class that someone did not show up for and guess what???? I was next in line. It was a wonderful class taught by her. And you all know that I love love love Prima. I know I love Tim also but Prima is my love also. We decorated a canvas camera case to hold our camera in. I was able to talk to her manager aka her husband and he was sooo interested in coming to SA. How about her coming to Sa???? Who would love to take a class or two or three from the awesome DONNA DOWNEY??? Give my your feed back.

Ok I have over 700 pictures to weed from. What I am going to do is print them all off and put them in a mini album for all of you to see and you will also have pictures of layouts that you can take and borrow. I will explain more about how this will work when I get back. It is going to be great. We will have pictures of layouts and show you how to use the new paper we just ordered. I will also put pictures on this but need to compress them smaller. I am working on it. I received some bad news this morning about one of our customers and I am just blown away. Just hug the ones you love because you don't know what will happen to them the next minute.

The new Vagabond Diecut Machine is amazing. It will cut any kind of diecut you have. Just wait til I show you what all it does. you are going to be blown away. I am going to have to buy me one for sure. I will show you how to emboss with light weight and heavy weight paper, corkboard, foam board etc. I have 4 lucky people that will be getting something signed by Tim Holtz himself. His idea-ol-ogy is out of this world. We have touched down in Chicago. Great trip so far. Weather is wonderful. Wished this weather was in SA. Anyways these pictures are out of order but at least I have them up. In late July 2005, we found our current location, but the building was far from being completed. We still have boxes arriving with new products. We are going to CHA next month and will have lots more of new things. I will be going to CHA so I will be taking my computer and give you minute by minute updates. I will also have some good give a ways to give so keep up with me.

As you can tell we are working on our cardstock wall. Carrie has been hard at work with it and she is almost finished with getting all the new colors of bazzill cardstock. We will then put stickers on the trays with the color names. It is a work in progress. Thanks Carrie for all your hard work on the wall. If you can't find where the paper goes please give it to one of us to put away so that the paper stays in its right tray. We will also have a tray that will be specifically for that also.

October Afternoon baby paper is back. Love the ducks. It is a great paper for those baby pictures or making invitations for baby showers.

We have our hands on some new Basic Grey Kits. What it is is a Kit of the Month. You get Papers, embellishment, instructions, and an instructor to help you put your kit together. Pennies from Heaven Album Class

Class Description: 2010 promises to be a year full of adventures and challenges. A few years ago I wanted to change my attitude about the year ahead, so I decided to scrapbook the wonderful things that were going to happen to me that year. My whole outlook changed and made the year an adventure as both big and small events became "wonderful things" to be recorded in my album.

The song, "Pennies From Heaven" inspired the new album I'll be using this year. I'm going to be recording the "pennies" that are sent to me from Heaven to help me see all the good things that are happening. By looking at the encouraging reminders I'll record in my new album, the year won't pass by in a blur and little things will gain significance because I will be more aware and will be looking for those "pennies." (Some students already know what "pennies from heaven" means to me from reading my blog, but if you don't I'll tell you in class!) The theme can easily be changed to any kind of photo journal you'd like to have.

Not only will the album have a significant purpose, it will also be filled with inovative techniques and wonderful products from 7 gypsies. We'll make our own album using the Binderie punch with sections for each month of the year:a nostalgic assemblage of pockets (12 different ones...a different pocket for every month of the year!), overlays, papers and bits of this and that.

Birds of a Feather: A 7 gypsies Photo Tray

Class description: The new 7 gypsies Photo Tray is one of the hottest new products to come along in years and presents unlimited possibilities for our creativity! We'll transform each of the six sections of the tray with a mix of products, techniques that you'll be able to transfer to any of your other paper craft projects using stamps, paint, paper, and trinkets galore. From creating a removable mini book to making our own 3-D embellishments, we'll learn to think "outside the box." You'll receive all the products shown in the sample to make your project just mine but with lots of extras to make it your own.

We are having a baby at the Scrapbook store

We are having a baby at Scrapbook 911. Well hopefully not at the store but at the hospital. LOL Angela is having a baby. We want to throw her a baby shower for her before the baby (BOY aka Jacob) comes or before she gets on bed rest. So for that being said, we are going to have a Baby Shower for her on a Friday night crop on January 29th. You don't have to be signed up to stop by and get a piece of cake or leave her a gift. If you are not able to make it and want to get her something just stop by the store and give it to me and I will hold it for her and give it to her at her party. So the date is January 29th Friday starts about 7 pm. We have room at the crop if you want to stay and crop. Please rsvp to me so i can know how much to get. joutterson@satx.rr.com. Hope to see you. Debby Schuh loves us so much she is coming back.

Mark your calendars, Debby will be here at Scrapbook 911 on February 19th and 20st. (Friday and Saturday)

She is teaching a class on Friday night and three classes on Saturday. We haven't worked out all the details yet on which classes are at what time and price. I will give you a link to her class blog so you can see the three new classes she is teaching and she is working on one other new class.

Hope 2010 is a great year for everyone.

Happy New Years!!!!

Scrapbook 911 hopes that 2010 is one of your best years ever. To help get the new year started out right, we are having a sale on Friday January 1st between 10:00 am and midnight. Everything (well almost) in the store is 30 % off. Classes, kits, gift cards, and clearance items are excluded. PLUS, like last year, we will accept Target, Barnes & Noble and Best Buy Gift cards since someone didn't know what you really wanted. Why are we doing this? Because Mike doesn't want to count it and he doesn't want to pay property tax on it. Did you know that according to Bexar County property tax records, Scrapbook 911 has more inventory than all the other stores? Our New Year's resolution is to continue to bring you the very latest and greatest scrapbook supplies.

To help you get back to the important business of cropping, on January 2nd, we will be having an all day, no frills (or food) crop between 10:00 am and midnight for just $5. Reservations are required so be sure to call us at 210-492-1984. AND we will be having our Sunday evening Coffee & Crop between 6:00 and 10:00 pm on Sunday the 3rd.

You might have noticed things are starting at 10:00am. That's because that is when we open for our winter hours starting January 1st. Closing hours are the same, 6:00 pm on Sunday, 8:00 pm Monday through Thursday and Midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. Even so, Scrapbook 911 is still open more hours than any other store in South Texas.

The Paper Company. Love the boy line. It is so hard finding boy paper. Here you go. We also received Winter paper and vintage paper. If you are working on Heritage pictures these papers and embellishments work great.

We received another supply of the flower soft. This is going fast.

We are coming up on the Thanksgiving holiday. We have lots to be thankful for. What are you thankful for? I will go first. My family is thankful this Thanksgiving for being able to adopt Ashton the week of Thanksgiving. On Monday is National Adoption Day. Us along with 19 other families are adopting a child. I will post pictures for you when I get back. We at Scrapbook 911 are thankful for our wonderful customers. Without you there would be no us. Thanks for all of you.

Thank you to our great customers for making our "5" birthday memorable. We had a great time and hoped you enjoyed everything.

We have quite a few new Christmas classes coming up. So if you are needing something for someone for Christmas and don't know what to get them, come take one of our classes from our wonderful instructors. We are having two different soldering classes now. It is a simply soldering 1 class for beginners and a simply soldering 2 class for advance. This is being taught by Carrie Avery. Angela is teaching a cute garland class with graffix 45 paper. This class is getting filled up fast. Tami has outdone herself again. She has made an altered Christmas book. She has opened her class to more people. I am calling all the people on the wait list so you may want to call and get in on this class. Carrie and I teach a Totally Tim class. We are going to have two classes on this. We have grown so big (which is a good thing) we have decided to have two classes. You will see this start happening in January.

Don't forget we have our GUEST DESIGNER TEACHER "Debby Schuh" coming to our store Dec 7th. She is teaching two classes. These classes are filling up fast so if you are interested please call us and sign up asap.

I will be posting lots of pictures of these classes soon.

We have an upcoming class taught by Carrie Avery. Lots of you have asked for a soldering class. She is a pro at soldering and will show you how to use your soldering stuff to make teacher gifts, christmas gifts, etc.
