Have you all seen the new die-cuts that are behind the cash wrap? No? If you take a look at the wall behind the register, you will see these big black poster boards showing you all of these awesome new die-cuts that we have available for a staff member to help you with. Each special die-cut is 25 cents. WHAT A DEAL! You can get some really fun shapes. Just bring your paper or chipboard up and they will do it for you. Twenty Five cents, people! You can't go wrong. Look at all of these cool cuts...

As you can see on my layout, I used the circle and square scallop. I think you'll like them, too :-)

Are you all ready for Christmas yet? You know we're just 10 days away now?! That's not a whole lot of time left to shop, bake, attend parties and recitals, get those Christmas cards finished and mailed (I'm still trying to figure out a picture to use), etc. etc. How are you all doing with that list? I wish I could say that I've been busy checking mine off! No such luck. I guess I better drink a pot of coffee and get crackin :-)

I finished this Christmas banner, somewhat! I had been working on it for a while and even tho I feel like it is missing something or still needs some extra do-dads, I'm fed up already! So...here's my share the day. I also have to say that it does NOT look that great against our windows, but our fireplace has stockings hung, so there was no room for it there. It'll just have to do in the kitchen for now!! * If you click on the pic, it should enlarge it for you *

Oh and I used those Heidi Swapp playing cards again (like that Halloween banner I did). They are just perfect for banners and if you have any sitting around collecting dust...try making a banner with them!

Now this next pic is a bit embarrassing. I took a picture of my tree this year so you can see how NON-perfect I can be. I kind of decorated it backwards. I started with the ornaments, then the garland and then the lights. WOW...I don't know what I was thinking. IT looks like I didn't care what I was doing, huh? Oh well.

I encourage you all to take pictures of your holiday decorations around the house. It's a great way to remember the holidays. It seems like they go by so fast and we're usually so rushed and stressed out, that we forget to stop and enjoy the simple things. Plus you can scrapbook all of those cool pictures!!

I for one, have to say that if someone in particular was reading this and wanted to know what to put in my stocking...I'd say every color and flavor of the STICKLES. They really are the greatest and you can use them on EVERYTHING. **

Just wanted to show off a couple of canvas pieces I did recently...if you haven't worked with canvas before, you really should try it. It's fun and you can hang them on your wall as artwork or put them on an easel. So fun!!

Peek-A-Boo...Here's What's New!

I hate trying to think of new titles, so that one was a little goofy!!

Take a looky at what has arrived recently. Autumn Leaves, Rusty Pickle, Fancy Pants, Foof-a-La, Around The Block...just take a drive over and you can see for yourself!! Some of this won't be around for too long. Rusty Pickle is FLYING fast. Don't say I didn't warn you :-)

ONE INCREDIBLE SCRAPBOOK ROOM...

I'm sure you've all seen a beautiful scrapbook room here and there in magazines or on other scrapbook websites. Well this room (and owner) deserves a little credit, too. Look at this...

The colors, the organization, the cute storage jars/boxes/holders, AND THAT FURNITURE! Wowza! Thank you to our very own DIMITRA for sharing pics of her newly transformed scrapbook room. Gorgeous indeed. And if you don't know who Dimitra is, she currently teaches here at 911. She has a darling GIRLFRIENDS MINI-ALBUM class coming up December 11th @ 6:15 pm. If you are interested, give the store a call and reserve your spot.

Something yummy...

I feel like baking today. But I'm the type of person that prefers recipes with 5 ingredients or less! I found this recipe on Jennifer Stewart's blog. She always offers such great recipes. Some are more advanced than others, but this one is perfect for me (and my little ones will enjoy helping!). These would make a great gift or how about for a cookie swap?!

* Little Holiday Pretzel Treats *

Ingredients:

Bite-size, waffle-shaped pretzels, Hershey's Kiss or Hershey's Hug and M&M's candy

Step 1: Heat the oven to 170º. Set a number of bite-size, waffle-shaped pretzels (one for each treat) in a single layer on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper, then top each pretzel with an unwrapped Hershey's Kiss or Hershey's Hug.

Step 2: Bake for 4 to 6 minutes (the white chocolate will melt more quickly), until the chocolates feel soft when touched with a wooden spoon. Remove the cookie sheet from the oven and quickly press an M&M's candy into the center of each Kiss.

Step 3: Allow the treats to cool for a few minutes, then place them in the refrigerator to set, about 10 minutes. Place handfuls of the candies in clear plastic bags and tie on colorful ribbons.
