Think Pink, RAK, Heidi Swapp and Embellishing!

So much to talk about, so hang tight please!

First off...

this weekend we are supporting the Susan Komen Breast Cancer Association. The Scrap Pink Crops are going on starting Friday. If you are still interested in attending, PLEASE CALL THE STORE ASAP, as I'm not sure how many spots are left. The proceeds will be going directly to this foundation to help find a cure! The weekend will be about everything Pink and supporting the special women in our lives - including survivors & co-survivors. There will be some special surprises through-out the entire weekend. Even if you can't crop, please stop by to support this very important event.

In honor of it being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we thought it would be fun to do a RAK challenge. We want to see some layouts from you girls. Only thing you need to do is make it a layout for that "special woman" in your life. One that may be a survivor/co-survivor. Or someone that you know who is going through it right now. Or someone who was a survivor and is no longer living. I think you get the picture. I am going to play along, as well, since I come from a family full of survivors. I want to see lots and lots of layouts from you all. The winner will receive none other than a RAK full of pink scrapbooking goodies.

You have until end of day Thursday, Octobor 4th. That's one whole week to get crackin. Comment with your link or email it to me or the store. Now get your pink stuff out and get scrappin!!

^ ^^

Ok y'all. I'm going to spill the beans about some new yummies that just came in this afternoon. If you are not able to crop this weekend or at least stop in for fun, then you must get to the store tomorrow...Thursday to snatch a few of Heidi Swapp's new items. YES...we now have lots of great new product like...

Clear Clock stamps
Clear Month stamps
Ghost Flowers
Glitter Flowers
Journaling Spots
Chipboard Shapes

Did I get your attention? Ok...don't wait long. Most of this probably won't be around after the big weekend!!

Wondering where this layout came from? Well...it's mine of course. I wanted to show you how much I love not only the Scenic Route paper and chipboard letters, and of course the Heidi Swapp mask, but the GLIMMER MIST that I talked about a few posts ago... LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT. I used it on my mask and will probably never use anything else again on my masks. It works like magic and is super easy to clean up. You really need to try it, if you haven't yet.

And another layout from yours truly. This one I have to say is a little out of my norm. Why, you ask? See all of the embellishments? Ya, it's a big deal for me to embellish. I tend to be a simple kinda girl, but wish I could be an embellisher!!

Here's the deal...there is a girl by the name of Heather Burch. She is an amazing scrapbooker and also owns her own monthly kit club. She did an online class last week (a rarity), but I was not able to do it. After I saw her layout that people were to do, I knew I had to lift it/jack it/whatever you wanna call it. Here is how mine turned out. It's a little different than hers, but I just wanted you all to see that she is queen of embellishing. Everything she creates is amazing and full of eye candy!!

I want to challenge you, too, to do lots of embellishing if you are more like me and keep it more simple. Try it, please! It is fun to step out of your comfort zone on occasion. I can't wait to try it again. But for now...use my layout as an example and show me what you can do.

Have a nice evening!!
