Yes...I said NAKED LADIES, but the kind that sing and are from Canada!! The Barenaked Ladies performed for the convention that we were at and it was like a private concert for about 400 people. FUN STUFF I tell ya. I didn't think I was that big of a fan, but after about 20 minutes I was hooked. They were very entertaining and their music is really pretty good! Check out the new song. I'm sure you've all heard it before!!

I told you all I would post a few pics of the playing cards that I was working on in Florida. Here ya go. Nothing too exciting, but got a good start. Just a little FYI, I am not covering the backs at this time, cause I really like the look of those cards. Depeding on my mood, I either cover the back or the front.

COMIN ATCHYA FROM HOLLYWOOD, BABY!

Ok...so it's not THE Hollywood, but it is Hollywood, Florida. And it is GORGEOUS here! Basically we're right in Fort Lauderdale and only a few more minutes from Miami. Never been to this part of Florida...have you? It's very pretty and the ocean is intoxicating! I am heading out there in just a few minutes to get some pictures. But this is the view from our room...





Not too shabby, eh? While my husband is in meetings all day, I plan to have some fun in the sun, put my feet in the sand...oh and SCRAPBOOK! Yes, this is like a mini scrapbook retreat for me. I don't have any little monkeys running around me and no fights to break up. I have to give a big shout out to Granny Nanny and Mama Bear (aka: my mom and my auntie from Canada). I hope and pray that they aren't regretting their offer to come and babysit for us!! Thank you for helping us!!

So I decided to work on those cute Heidi Swapp Playing Cards. Did you all get some of those? For now, I'm doing very random things...no theme to mine yet. Here's a sneak peak for you girls...I will show more pics when I get more done.

You can't see most of my stuff...I've put it all away in the drawers so the cleaning lady won't get too freaked out by all my stuff!

I haven't been here that long, but I think this year we're going to do SOMETHING. I mean...I like to celebrate things. Don't you? Ok...so let's do it then. Happy Fiesta everyone!

Alright...time to celebrate FIESTA. I'll be back again very soon. We're taking a drive up to IKEA today...my FAVORITE store in the whole world. I've been there twice in the last month, but I feel the need to go again!! Have a great day!

A couple of new things that you might like...

Just a few more fun things from Cosmo Cricket. The lacing cards come painted (or printed already) and have everything in the kit like chipboard alpha buttons, chipboard embellishments, and 7 yards of ribbon. Wow...I love it.

Good afternoon everybody! What a gorgeous day today. This is a day to get out and go for a walk. As soon as I finish this blog, I am forcing myself to go for a walk. It is too nice out to stay inside. Come on...do it with me. When you finish reading this...get your shoes on and move it. How's that for motivational speaking? I wish I could talk like that all the time!

So have you signed up for Jennifer Stewarts class yet? If not, you can always get a kit. If you ever can't make it to a class at 911, you can almost ALWAYS GET A KIT! Just call and talk to any of the friendly girls at the store.

By the way...have you all seen and/or met this nice girl?

Gaelynn usually works during the days and also teaches various classes (check the calendar to see which ones). If anyone is just starting out or knows somebody who needs help getting started in scrapbooking, Gaelynn teaches a great Beginner class. If you ever need help with anything...just look for Gaelynn. She is very knowledgeable. And if you already know her...please say hello! HI GAELYNN!!
